CABWAD to run Energy Best Deal Workshops

Following training at CAS headquarters in Edinburgh, the Bureau will be running a series of workshops aimed at informing people about the savings they could make by being energy efficient, switching energy supplier and/or changing their tariff. The workshops will also highlight the help that is available from both suppliers and Government/Local Councils for those struggling to pay their energy bills. With families increasingly being squeezed between higher prices and little or no increase in income, anything that can be done to save on costly energy supply can have a significant impact on household finances.

The workshops will be run between January and May 2012 and will be aimed at both the general public and front line staff from a variety of organisations who work with specific groups of people. The overall impact of the workshops can be amplified when frontline staff attend as they can pass the information on to the members of the public that they deal with and support.
